Colony Deputy Job Descriptions

Colony Leader

• The job of the Colony Leader is to oversee the two colony departments (Function and Command), coordinating all departments, recruiting and promoting Colony Deputy staff and to work on strategic ideas for the future of Hi-Tek. The Colony Leader also represents the colony by sitting on the City Council.

Deputy Colony Leader

• This person will take command of the colony when the Colony Leader is absent, carry out colony-wide sweeps and security sweeps, manage colony finances and help the Colony Leader coordinate the colony as well as further tasks at the Colony Leader's disgression. This role can be a single job, or it can be held by one of the Commanders depending on the staff situation. The Deputy Colony Leader will have security tools.

Function Commander

• This role involves managing the three colony functions: Activities, Tech and Development. When one of these roles are vacant it will be the Commander's job to look after the role or arrange appropriate cover. It is up to the Commander how they organise their department and how they keep in contact with the Function CDs. The Commander has responsibility for recruiting and firing Colony Secretaries, although the power to hire and fire Function CDs remains with the Colony Leader. The Function Commander will have security tools.

Colony Commander

• This role involves managing the Command CDs and taking care of the neighborhoods and staff as a whole in Hi-Tek. This role will involve colony sweeps much like the DCL role, but it will also involve a lot of close communication with the Command CDs, neighborhood staff and residents. Part of the Colony Commander job is training and education of new and existing staff, working on and maintaining the training guides on the training website and developing the Neighborhood Development Initiative. The Colony Commander can hire and fire Colony Secretaries, although the Colony Leader will hire Command CDs. The Colony Commander will have security tools.

Function CDs

• There will be three function CDs; Acitivities, Tech and Development. The first two are pretty self-explanatory, but the Development CD is more complicated. It will involve working to implement new projects and ideas into Hi-Tek so will need to work closely with the Function Commander and the Colony Leader.

Command CDs

• Managing a section of neighborhoods, hiring and firing NLs, providing guidance to neighborhood staff, and looking after neighborhoods when there is a vacant NL spot.
